Due to state guidelines/restrictions as well as directives from our conference office regarding indoor gatherings,…
In light of the recommendations for the maximum number of people who should gather, we have cancelled all services moving forward, including this Sunday (3/22). Of course, we are hopeful and prayerful we will be able to resume services soon! However, we will not resume worship until it is wise and prudent to do so.
We encourage you to meet with friends or family in groups of 5-10 for prayer, fellowship and reflection because we believe “you can’t grow spiritually unless you are connected relationally (Andy Stanley)”.
And speaking of being connected, please communicate this with people who may not have e-mail.
We also encourage you to check in on those who may be at risk (via phone) or who might be home bound. Simply reaching out to them to see if there is anything they need and giving them the gift of your presence will mean the so very much to them.
But for now, may the peace of Christ rule in your heart today, for A.W. Tozer wrote, “A scared world needs a fearless church”.
So let us embrace Paul’s encouragement to the believers in Colossae:
Colossians 3:15 “And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.” (NLT)
In His grace,
Pastor Daryl & your Sherwood FM church board
